I’ve been meaning to go to The Anchor for lunch, but I’m usually in class during that time. However, last week was fall break, and I took advantage of the opportunity to visit The Anchor again (I’ve been for dinner). First, the anchor patio area has the best view of Washington Park. It’s something to think about if luminocity is performed again next summer, or any other outdoor event is held (listen to Midpoint Music Festival for free perhaps?).
The Anchor has a lunch special where you get half a sandwich and a cup of chowder (or a salad) for $11.00. It is a very good deal indeed. I went with the trout blt. Instead of slices of bacon the sandwich, there’s a bacon aioli. It’s a switch, because in this version you get a taste of bacon in every bite. The trout was lightly fried and the bread was chewy.
