Another weekend, another brunch. This time I travelled to the Westside to eat Vitor’s “Unforgettable French Toast”. It’s my second favorite french toast in the city (Virgil’s is my number one) but I don’t get to visit that often because, well the Westside is far away.
Normally I go for the standard Unforgettable French Toast (texas toast, rolled in Frosted Flakes cereal and topped with creme brûlée pastry cream, bananas, and whipped cream), but on this visit I went with the second version, Mocha Unforgettable French Toast. It’s the same French toast but with cocoa added to the pastry cream. Wonderfully crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside, and not overpoweringly sweet.
Vitor’s brunch is served Saturdays and Sundays and there’s plenty of seating inside and on the patio area outside.
Can you think of any other good West Side restaurants? I’m pretty sure Vitor’s is the only one I’ve visited, and I’d like to try all the great Cincinnati restaurants before I graduate.
