georgetown cupcake

Unfortunately I picked what felt like the hottest day on Earth to visit Georgetown Cupcake.  I saw so many women in knee high boots and jeans and I do not understand how is this possible. I wore shorts and skirts the entire trip and I still felt like I was melting. The line was outside the door and wrapped around the building. Several times I wanted to bail  and bask in the air conditioning of J. Crew, but my friend Kai kept me in line. And let’s be real, I would have regretted not trying a cupcake.

blueberry cheesecake 1

I ordered the special of the month, a blueberry cheesecake. It was a tasty nice sized piece of cheesecake. My only complaint is that the crust was too crumbly. Pieces of the crust got everywhere.
photo-2I wish I had tried their red velvet cupcake as it’s their most popular item. I’m something of a red velvet expert. The most important rule is don’t give me a red velvet cupcake with buttercream icing. I’m talking to you Crumbs.
